Secunderabad: A miniature of 54-foot Hanuman idol made of ‘panchaloha’ to be installed at Sitarampally of Siddipet district, was unveiled here at Tadbund Hanuman temple by the ‘peethadhipati’ of Tadbund Hanuman temple Durga Prasad Swamy on Sunday. On this occasion, the miniature idol was garlanded and special puja was performed amidst Vedic chants.Speaking on the occasion, Durga Prasad Swamy said it was an historic occasion in the Indian spiritual field. He said that the original idol would be installed at Sitarampally in a 50-acre premises and Hanuman temple would be built on the same place. Hanuman’s weapon mace would be made of small maces measuring six to 11 inches, he said. The donors’ names and their ‘gothras’ would be written on a plaque, he said. A Vedic school has been started at Kandlakoya under the aegis of the Tadbun Hanuman temple and there were plans to open another Vedic school at Adavi Sitarampally, he said.
