first_imgEagles’ Wings Foundation hopes to bring the community together through their raffle in support of the work they do.Raffle tickets are $100 and the prize is a restored blue 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. The raffle will take place Nov. 18 along with their Christmas Open House. Both will benefit the building of group homes for adults with developmental disabilities they work with.Jerry Pike, the Eagles’ Wings Foundation founder, said he is excited for the raffle and open house because it allows the community to see where their money and support goes.“The community gets to come here and see what we’re doing; see where there money goes,” said Pike. “We have a good support from the community from churches and businesses and it gives them an opportunity to come out and see what we’re doing and where their money goes and interact with our individuals”The open house will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and the raffle drawing will take place at 3:30 p.m. You can buy a ticket by calling 205-333-7690.last_img
